One of the residents of
Sulphur Creek Park in Hayward. I took this picture a few weeks ago on a nature excursion with the Ti-Valley Cultural Jews as we celebrated Tu B'Shevat (Arbor Day). It was a fun outing (mine and Emma's first visit to this park).
Lovely little hawk!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really pretty image.
ReplyDeleteKestrels are my all time favorite bird! That's saying a lot coming from a Robin (hehehe) Although I like to call them by their older, fiercer name of Sparrow Hawk! What a gorgeous face they have. They are only a big as a Robin but killers! .
ReplyDeleteThey are truly amazing birds. I saw 2 last week when I took the victims of my nanny job to Rancho San Antonio. They were playing in the sun chasing each other around.
Thanks for this picture Amy. It's beautiful and makes me so happy!
