I'm a Mess - Amy

It's that time of year again. I say with both dread and excitement. Can I fit this into my already over-scheduled life? I'll find a way, said with a bit of hesitation.

This is Ginger, one of my four chickens. I learned that chickens stop egg production in the winter. This is due to the limited daylight hours and when they typically molt. My girls stopped laying around Thanksgiving and only recently started up again.  (Hello, we needed those eggs to make latkes and Christmas cookies!)

I liked the gesture and movement and of course, any opportunity to celebrate a chicken tooshie is fine in my book!
